Does sugar affect your body negatively?

I love sugar, but I probably eat WAY too much of it. I've heard the same comments on sugar my entire life: Sugar's bad for you, Don't eat to much or you'll get sick, Eat something good for you before hand. My parents and teachers have told me those things over and over so I pretty much have it in my head that sugar's bad for my body. But is that necessarily true?

The bad things:

Sugar can do many bad things to your body like, produce acid stomach, contribute to diabetes, promote tooth decay, cause hypertension, increase total cholesterol, suppress the immune system, upset the body`s mineral balance, raise adrenaline levels in children, and so much more. There are way too many more for me to name off before you get bored and leave my page. :)

The not so bad things:

Sugar cane is a natural sugar that many people think is good for them. It does have some good things in it like: fewer calories then normal sugar, it's good for digestion, can work as a mild laxative because of its high potassium content, and it has lots of magesium and calcium. Other than that there is not much nutrients to it.

Substitutes:

Many diabetic people and others who don't want the calories from regular sugar use sugar substitutes. Things like splenda and other big brands that claim to have the answer to most sugar problems. Many substitutes are chemically treated so it makes them no better than regular sugars. But some are naturally sweetened. It still doesn't make them good for you but it doesn't make it bad for you either.
Many people believe that sugar is the #1 cause to disease. It can even cause more damage than drugs or alcohol.

A little sugar may be good for you to maintain your blood sugar level. But sugar mainly destroys and makes people sick. I guess that answers our question "Does sugar affect your body negatively?" The answer would be yes.

Best Jobs of 2011

What should my major be? What jobs pay the best right now? Is there a job out there that I'll enjoy? Are these questions that you ask yourself? I think I can give you some answers. :)

Here is the list of the top paying jobs of 2011

Now those jobs may be nice for some people but none of those really interest me. Most people think the best job you can get is the one that pays the highest. But what is the point of working somewhere for more than half of your life if you wont enjoy it. Maybe the highest paying jobs are something that you will enjoy. If that's the case then you should definately go for it. If not, then you need to decide what is more important; making a lot of money or enjoying where you work.

Hear's a list of jobs many people enjoy:

(10) Writer
Some of these jobs pay well, some not so much. But these are the top ten jobs most people enjoy :)

Successful Blog...make it happen!!!

Lots of people write blogs but very few are well known. If you want to make it big in the blogging world you need to follow some simple steps. :)

Commitment:

You need to be commited to your blog for it to go far. People don`t want to come to your page and see something that was posted last month. They want new things! Post something new at least once a week. It will hopefully attract more people and google will be very impressed.

New News:

Topics are one of the key things to worry about. You need to blog about things that are interesting and new. Not something that happened to you last year but something that is coming up in the future. An election, an auction, and the grammys are all things you could use to catch attention. Who are the candidates? What is your opinion? What are some of the flaws that they have that would prevent them form getting the job? These are all questions that you could answer for them.

Promote:

For people to know that your blog is out there you need to promote it. Submit your blog to social networking or bookmarking sites. Places like digg.com and stumbleupon.com. Even post your blog on facebook and have your friends check it out.

Storie time:

Lots of readers want to read stories. They crave humur and detail. Write a story or something that happend to you on your blog. It could be funny or serious or just something that keeps them interested. It could be fiction, non-fiction, history, or mystery. It doesnt matter as long as it keeps them coming back.

If your blog is about something certain like cooking, reading, or family it would probably be a good idea to reasearch on those things. Write a story about a little girl that gets adopted by a nice family, or how becoming a chef made a little boys life change comepletly. Report on the burglary that took place 3 days ago. There are tons of options out there. You just need to find them. :)

Organic vs Conventional

Food is something I always think about. When I wake up, the first thing that comes to my mind is what's for breakfast? The first thing I think of after school is what's for dinner? I always want a snack or something to satisfy me. If I want to eat that much....it might as well be healthy right?

Is it really healthy?

Organic food has a lot more nutrients then most food in grocery stores. Why? Because no insecticides, herbicides, fumigants, fungicides, or miticides have been used for the plants. Many things that they use to keep bugs, weeds, and other stuff off the plants are cancer causing. I don`t know about you, but I would much rather eat something that a fly has landed on instead of eating something that could give me a life threatening disease. Plus, they use things without chemicals to keep anything unnecessary off the plants. :)

I want flavor!

A lot of people think because something is healthy that means it doesn't taste as good. That is not completely true. Many organic fruits and vegetables are juicer and have more flavor compared to the canned and processed. The Milk is also richer and the some say the cheese is mouthwatering. If you start to eat organic you will probably not want to switch back. :)

Guilt free:

When you eat organic foods you really don't have to think about how many calories your putting into your body or how long it will take to work this off. It`s completely guilt free. Eating it will help you feel better, give you more energy, and give you satisfaction in yourself daily. You can even buy organic chocolate that`s creamy and tastes even better.

Green Friendly:

When you buy organic foods your also helping the environment, because organic farms are more environment and animal friendly. Think of all the chickens that are cramped in tiny cages, cows in horrible living conditions and milked till they can't be anymore. When they feed the cows and other animals organic foods they are sick a lot less and they provide better tasting milk and other foods for you.

Is it worth it?

For most organic foods it is well worth the cost. Say you were buying non organics that don`t have as many nutrients in them. If you bought the organic foods instead you could get the nutrients you need without eating as much food. If you did the math it would show you that you would actually save money on certain foods but on others you would spend a little more. It's really up to you and your budget. If you feel you can afford to go completely organic then go for it. If you would have a hard time with it financially just buy certain organics. A little does make a difference. :)

Want to visit Indiana???

Many people think that Indiana isn`t the most exciting place in the world. They may be right in their oppinion but many others think that Indiana has some really cool attraction and fun places to go. :)

Winter in Indiana:

If you live in a tropical climate and need some time away from the heat, you should come to Indiana in the winter time. The average temperature in January is about 26 degrees. We also get lots of snow between the months of November and April!!! This state looks absolutely beautiful in the Winter! :)

Summer in Indiana:

Maybe you`re the opposite. You could be someone who lives in alaska or a pretty cold state and you just want to get away to some place warm, but florida and california are just not in your budget. We have very nice weather in the summer in Indiana! We average about 75 degrees in the summer months. Not too hot or too cold :) We have pretty nice weather all year round!!!

State Parks

:
I have never been to a state park personally but I hear they are pretty cool!!! And in Indiana we have 23 different ones! They are absolutely beautiful in the winter and they offer many activities in the summer. You can go camping, fishing, hiking, and alot more. :)

Attraction:

There are so many things to do in indiana that I can`t list them all. There's mueseams, theme parks, tours, national parks, water parks, and so much more. Six Flags has to be the most popular theme park around. It`s right outside indiana across from Gurnee Mills Mall! See...you can have fun and shop all in the same day ;)

Historic Sites:

You can also come see a whole list of historical sites. Places like Angel Mounds, Culbertson Mansion, White Water Canal, the Indiana State Mueseam and a whole list more. Travel around the state and visit all these important places in history!

The Amazing Food:

When your on the road, the first thing you think of is where are we going to eat? Well you won't have to worry about that very much on your trip to Indiana. We have Amazing food here. Great resturaunts from Olive Garden to McDonalds, from Rain Forest Cafe to Wendy`s. It's all here and it`s amazing!!! :)

Hotels:

When you need a place to stay, Indiana has your back. We have almost every possible hotel or motel that you can think of. For an elegant stay there are places like The Radison, New Harmony Inn, Omni Severin, and the Marriot. If you`re on a budget there are places like Comfort Inn, Best Western, Holiday Inn, and Fair field Inn. Of course there are too many to count or list off, but you should go online and find a hotel that will fit in with your price range. :)

Famous Indiana

:
Indiana has a few things it is famous for. It`s where the Army`s finance center lives and also where ther Indiana Motor Speedway is located!!! Famous faces also lived in this state like Micheal Jackson and James Dean. Come to the state where these people spent half of their lives,

Did you know?

Abraham Lincoln, our 16th president, was born in Illinois as most of us know. But did you know that he moved to Indiana when he was seven years old? Most of his childhood he lived in Spencer County with his parents.

Letters:

Santa Clause Indiana is a town located in Carter, Clay, and Harrison townships. It`s just a regular town with regular people, but something not that reguar happens there every year. Every Christmas season children from all over send their Christmas list to Santa Clause, Indiana. They get over half a million letters each year! It's a pretty neat thing to happen to such a small town. :)

From this video you can see how beautiful Indiana really is :)

~Homeschooling Pros Outweigh the Cons~

                   My Homeschooling Story

My parents decided to home school the four of us kids when I was just about to go into second grade. I was in a good christian school but it got way too expensive just to keep me in. For a long time I hated the idea of staying home all day with no friends, no recess, and having my mom as my teacher. I'm a social butterfly so I like to be around my friends all the time, but I couldn`t because I was homeschooling. I was upset about it for years, but things started to change and I got more used to it. I started to get more involved in my youth group and I started to play sports. All the activities I was involved in were taking up alot of my time. I realized that if I went to school I probably would`t be able to participate in any of these activities or get involved in my church as much as I was. I made alot of friends at my church and on my volleyball team so I got my social life back. :) Once I got into high school it got harder to keep track of all my school work and finish it all by the end of the year. So this year my family started taking home school classes!!! I`ve been wanting to take them for a long time and I finally got the chance! We go to my church once a week and I take four of my subjects there. The teachers give us some homework but it usually only takes me a day to do each subject. It`s made my life so much more organized and less stressful. I still play sports, play in my youth groups band, act in plays, and still have time to complete all the subjects that I would have to work on in school. :)

Here`s a cute little video about a home school family :)

                                 Benefits For Your Family

I gave you my story so now its time for me to give a few reasons to consider homeschooling. :)
1-Your kids won't have to be around peer pressure as much.
There are so many temptations at school that you just might not want your kids around.
2-You could have more time to do fun stuff.
Once you get the hang of homeschooling, you can take field trips with your kids or put them in sports or have them go try out for a play. Find out what their interests are and let them know that they can try new things.
3-You don`t have to get up at 5a.m. and wait for the bus in 20 degree weather. :)
4-Your kids can get a better education.
The great thing about homeschooling is that you can choose the curriculum that you want to use. You can move your kids ahead if their work is just too easy or they can even move on to college courses. :)
5-NO HOMEWORK AFTER SCHOOL HOURS!!!
While most kids will be just getting home and starting their homework, your kids will be going out for sports or having fun. :)
I am limited on information but I encourage you to look more into homeschooling. Search on google! Here's a great link...http://www.buzzle.com/articles/homeschooling-statistics.html :)
